The way things used to be
OK...there's a lot at stake in this year's election. We have an enemy who wants to kill us only because we're not them, an ecconomic crisis that could take down the world economy, and a government that is becoming the fulfillment of Huxley's Brave New World. At the same time we've been presented with a slate of candidates who don't inspire anyone realistically.

One is a new age Pied Piper who defies common sense while inducing women to swoon at his rallys. Another is an acknowledged phony and liar who is trying to bribe herself into office with promises that would empty the treasury. Then there's the cantankerous old soldier who seems to want is as a trophy, who listens to nobody and takes pride in sticking it to the policies of his own party to garner the love of the press and, most foolishly, the respect of his enemies. Some things never change in Politics, especially the bullshit. So where are we? It's impossible not to be made at least a little cynical at he prospect that one of these super egos will actually become "leader of the free world" this year. Not one single one of them has ever run a business, or a state, or perhaps anything larger than a committee.
